Privacy Policy

Last updated September 20, 2026

Thank you for using ClippingNoise. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, so we have kept it specific to what ClippingNoise actually does.

Your use of ClippingNoise is also governed by our Terms of Service. In this Policy, "ClippingNoise", "we", "us" and "our" mean the team that runs ClippingNoise, and "you" means anyone who visits or uses ClippingNoise.

1. Who this covers

This Policy applies to visitors to ClippingNoise and to people who create an account, link social media accounts, submit content to campaigns, or request withdrawals. It also applies to people who use the Client Dashboard on behalf of a brand. It does not apply to our employees or contractors, who receive separate notices, or to third-party websites and platforms we link to.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: your username, email address and password. Your password is stored only as a salted hash, never in readable form.
  • Profile choices: your selected avatar and your light or dark theme preference.
  • Linked social accounts: the username you enter for each TikTok, YouTube, Instagram or X account you link, plus a short verification code we ask you to place in that account's public bio to prove it is yours.
  • Campaign submissions: the links to the public posts you submit to campaigns, and any application you make to a campaign that requires approval.
  • Payout details: if you request a withdrawal, the payout method you choose (USDT on Ethereum, or Solana) and the crypto wallet address you give us. We do not collect bank details, card numbers or PayPal accounts.
  • Support conversations: if you contact support through our Discord server, we receive your Discord user ID, your Discord display name, the messages you write in your support ticket, and the category you chose. Support tickets are read by our team and, in part, by an automated assistant (see Section 5). Anything you include in a bug report is also collected.
  • Referral information: if you sign up with a referral code, the link between you and the person who referred you.

Information we get from platforms

When you link an account or submit a post, we read public information from that platform so we can verify ownership and calculate earnings. This includes the account's public bio and follower count, and the post's public view, like and comment counts. We do not access your private messages, passwords or private posts on those platforms, and we never ask for your platform password.

Information created by using ClippingNoise

  • Your earnings, balances, withdrawal history and referral earnings.
  • The status of your submissions and the reasons given if one was rejected.
  • Notifications we send you and whether you have read them.
  • If you turn on browser notifications, the technical push-subscription details your browser gives us so we can reach you (see Section 7).

We do not collect "sensitive" categories of personal information such as health data, government ID numbers or precise location.

3. How we collect it

  • Directly from you when you register, link an account, submit content, save payout details, or contact us.
  • Automatically through a session cookie that keeps you logged in (Section 6) and through standard web server records kept by our hosting provider.
  • From social platforms and their public data services when we verify a linked account or refresh the view counts on a submission.

Some information you choose to share is visible to others. Your username and avatar appear on campaign leaderboards that other signed-in users can see, so please do not use a username that reveals more than you want public.

4. How we use it

  • Running the service: creating your account, verifying your linked accounts and submissions, calculating and recording earnings, and processing withdrawals.
  • Paying you: sending withdrawals to the wallet address you provide. Withdrawals are reviewed and sent by our team.
  • Preventing fraud and abuse: checking that submissions are original, that a post is not submitted twice, and that accounts are genuine.
  • Communicating with you: service notifications about your submissions, earnings, withdrawals and campaigns you may be eligible for.
  • Improving ClippingNoise: fixing bugs and understanding which features people use.
  • Meeting legal obligations and enforcing our Terms of Service.
  • Sharing campaign results with brands as described in Section 5.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you (running your account and paying you), our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention and improving the service), compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it (for example, browser notifications).

We do not use your personal information to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We share it only in these situations:

  • Brands running a campaign you take part in. A brand's Client Dashboard shows the submissions to its own campaigns: your username, the platform and linked account username, the post link, and its public view, like and comment counts. It does not show your email address, your earnings, your balances or your payout details.
  • Other users. Your username and avatar can appear on leaderboards, as noted above.
  • Service providers that help us operate, under obligations to protect your information: our hosting provider, an image-hosting service (ImageKit) that stores campaign pictures uploaded by our team, and data services we use to read public information from social platforms (such as Apify and the YouTube Data API). When we ask these services for public data we send them the public post link or public username, not your email or password.
  • Our support tools. Support is run through a Discord server, so anything you write there is also handled by Discord under its own privacy policy. To help answer common questions quickly, an automated assistant reads the conversation in your ticket, including your Discord display name and your messages, and sends it to a third-party AI provider (OpenCode) that generates a suggested reply. Common questions and answers may be stored so they can be reused. Please do not put passwords, wallet recovery phrases, or other secrets in a support ticket. We never need them.
  • Legal and safety. If required by law, a court order or a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ClippingNoise, our users or others.
  • Business changes. If ClippingNoise is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would tell you first if this changed how your information is handled.

6. Cookies and tracking

ClippingNoise uses one essential cookie: a session cookie that keeps you logged in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. It is marked HTTP-only and same-site, and lasts up to 14 days. Without it you could not stay signed in.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, tracking pixels, or third-party fonts. Because we do not track you across websites, there is nothing for a "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off, and we treat those signals as respected by default.

We also store your light or dark theme choice in your account. You can clear the session cookie at any time through your browser settings, which will sign you out.

7. Notifications

ClippingNoise shows in-app notifications about your submissions, earnings and withdrawals. If you choose to turn on browser notifications, your browser gives us a push-subscription record (a web address unique to your browser plus encryption keys) so we can send you a notification. You can turn this off at any time in your browser or device settings, or by unsubscribing in the app, and we will stop sending them.

We do not send marketing emails or text messages. Your ClippingNoise account is not connected to your Discord account: the two are separate, and we only receive your Discord details if you contact support there.

8. YouTube API Services

ClippingNoise uses YouTube API Services. When you link a YouTube channel or submit a YouTube video to a campaign, we use the YouTube Data API to obtain public information about that channel or video, such as identifiers, the title, and public subscriber, view, like and comment counts, so that we can verify your submission and calculate your earnings. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Because we use YouTube API Services, information about you may also be collected and used by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy, and your use of YouTube is governed by the YouTube Terms of Service. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by YouTube or Google.

The YouTube information we store is limited to what is needed to run your account: the channel identifier and public subscriber count for a linked channel, and the public view, like and comment counts for each video you submit. For an approved submission these counts are refreshed automatically on a schedule (shortly after submission, then several times over the first day, then daily) so your earnings stay accurate. You can ask us to delete the data we hold about you at any time (see Section 10). Deleting data we hold does not affect data stored by YouTube itself. To manage or delete data on YouTube, use YouTube directly. Because we only read public information and never ask you to sign in with Google, there is no Google access for you to revoke.

9. How long we keep it

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy. We decide how long based on how long the information is needed to provide the service, the type of information, and whether we must keep it to meet a legal, tax, accounting or fraud-prevention obligation, or to resolve a dispute.

Support ticket records and stored support answers are kept for as long as we need them to help you and to improve our support, and you can ask us to delete yours. Records of earnings and withdrawals may be kept for longer than the rest of your account information because they are financial records. When we no longer need information we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct information that is wrong. You can update your username, email, password and payout details yourself in Settings and Wallet.
  • Delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
  • Data portability: receive your information in a common, machine-readable format.
  • Not be discriminated against for using these rights.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority or state attorney general.

To use any of these rights, contact us as described in Section 15. We may need to confirm your identity first, and you can ask an authorised agent to make a request for you if they can show your written permission. We will respond within the time the law requires. If we decline a request you can ask us to reconsider by replying with the subject line "Privacy request appeal".

There is currently no button in the app to delete your whole account, so please contact us to request deletion. You can unlink individual social accounts yourself from the Accounts page at any time.

11. Children

ClippingNoise is for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and it is not directed at children. If we learn that someone under 18 has given us personal information, we will delete it and close the account. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us.

12. International transfers

ClippingNoise and its service providers may store and process information in countries other than the one where you live, which may have different data protection laws. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as standard contractual clauses. You can contact us for more detail about the safeguards that apply to you.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including salted password hashing, HTTP-only session cookies, and forgery protection on forms. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please choose a strong, unique password and never share it. If you think your account has been accessed without your permission, change your password and contact us straight away.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make a material change we will give you a notice in the app. Your continued use of ClippingNoise after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
